Cyber Monday Round-Up!

2019 Sales Set Records

Happy everything! I’m glad to see that you survived the madness of Cyber Monday.

Did you purchase an air fryer or an Xbox One?

“Cyber Monday” is a term first coined by Ellen Davis of the National Retail Federation on November 28, 2005, in a Shop.org press release and has quickly become One of the Biggest Online Shopping Days of the Year.

174 million Americans shopped between Thanksgiving Day and Cyber Monday and spent an average of $335 per person during that five-day period.

The biggest spenders, Millenials aged 24 to 35, spent an average of $419.52 per person.

Additionally, over 25 millions items were ordered over Black Friday and Cyber Monday on Amazon alone,  breaking records all over the place.

In happy small biz news, independent third-party sellers on Amazon comprised of small and medium-sized businesses sold more items during Cyber Monday 2019 than any other 24-hour period in the company’s history.

Here’s some fun facts:

– States that saw 2″ snow saw 7% increase in online sales
– Cyber Monday was the single biggest shopping day for Amazon Fashion worldwide. That’s a lot of Champion Men’s Powerblend Fleece Pullover Hoodies!
– The largest percentage of shoppers was the 65 and up category which saw almost 20% of that age range participating in Cyber Monday.
56% of all shoppers participating in Cyber Monday identify as male, with 44% of shoppers identifying as female

Mobile transactions reached $3.1 billion on Cyber Monday, representing the highest year-over-year growth ever recorded for this date. .

He has been Photoslopping himself into photos of the Jenner and Kardashian clan since 2015, and has amassed over 1 million followers since.

This Instagram Personality proves that self-branding pays off: Kirby Jenner is now getting his own shortform parody show, produced by none other than Momager Kris Jenner and his faux-twin,  Kendall, on Quibi, a mobile-first entertainment platform set to launch in April.

Quibi has greenlit more than 50 scripted and unscripted series and will also feature daily news and sports content from the likes of NBC News, the BBC and ESPN. Users will pay $5 monthly for an ad-supported version of the service or $8 a month for one without ads.
